On 25 March 2025, Deputy Director for the Department of Road Traffic Safety and APRSO Focal for Cambodia Sattya Boran joined the Road Safety Capacity Building Program webinar series as a key panel speaker.

The session focused on complementary data and resources to inform road safety planning and implementation, and is part of the ongoing series focusing on translating data into action.

Mr. Boran presented on the experience of Cambodia in the integration of a range of data sources to inform strategy, policy and practice. In particular, Mr. Boran detailed:

• The organizational structure of the National Road Safety Committee to support the sustained collection of data

• Annual data publications

• Examples of how data is directly use to inform policy and practice

Joining Mr. Boran in the panel was Chief Executive Officer and Principal of Global Road Safety Solutions Dr. Soames Job, Policy Analyst for the Asian Transport Observatory Mel Eden and Director of Losningar Dr. Jessica Truong.
