APRSO Annual Meeting 2024 now open for online registrations
The APRSO Annual Meeting 2024 is a two-day event focused on safe and sustainable urban road transport from 8-9 October, 2024 being held in Tokyo, Japan.
The event is hosted by the Asia Pacific Road Safety Observatory (APRSO) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), with support from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the International Association of Traffic and Safety Sciences (IATSS), the Annual Meeting will engage a range of participants from governments, civil society, development partners, research institutes, and the private sector.
A range of key global and regional partners will provide a series of innovative and engaging sessions focusing on all aspects of safe and sustainable urban mobility including:
- Safe and Liveable Streets
- Safe and Sustainable Transport
- Urban Road Safety Challenges
- Securing the Last Mile
- Planning and Designing Public Space
And many more!
Tuesday, 8 October is available as a hybrid attendance, with online participation open to all stakeholders, and in-person attendance available for identified participants (who have already been contacted).
Wednesday, 9 October is available as in-person attendance for identified developing member country (DMC) and partner participants (who have already been contacted). Open registration is not available for this day.
NOTE: the event will be held in English with Russian and Japanese translation.

Objectives
The objectives of the APRSO Annual Meeting are:
- Building knowledge of best practices in urban road safety and sustainable transport management by studying best practices in the key functions of leading agencies
- Understanding the philosophy and pathway behind Japan’s road safety record
- Learning about specific data-driven interventions for urban road safety and sustainable transport
- Planning the initial steps to develop projects to address safe and sustainable urban road transport challenges
