Second Webinar Session Explores E-mobility and Last Mile Solutions

On 27 May 2025, the second session of the Road Safety Capacity Building Program webinar series took place. The series, Innovations in Safe and Sustainable Transport: Road Safety as part of Liveable & Resilient Cities, is co-presented by the Asia Pacific Road Safety Observatory (APRSO), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the CAREC program. 

 

The second session of the program, which gathered 128 online participants, explored on:

✅ Last mile planning for urban sustainability and safety

✅ Innovations in e-mobility planning and management

✅ Case study examples

 

Megha Singh, Senior Public Policy Associate at Uber, highlighted the innovations in safe last mile connectivity. Maria Rizzi, Principal Researcher at Strandroth Inc., spoke about safety considerations for e-mobility. Kim Lua, Asia and Africa Regional Lead of the Global Designing Cities Initiative, provided an overview of street design for safer cities. The session was moderated by Jessica Truong, Director of Lӧsningar, and included active participant engagement through Q&A and topical polls.
