Bhutan hosts first Safe System Road Safety Workshop
On 1 December, APRSO, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Bhutan Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, brought together 30+ government agency representatives, private sector, and development partners for the first Bhutan Safe Systems Road Safety Workshop.
The workshop was opened by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport and ADB’s Country Director and included an incredible range of committed participants from:

The workshop focused on a review and validation of initial findings of a Safe System Maturity Assessment, which utilizes the global best practice tool developed by Asian Development Bank (ADB) (https://lnkd.in/gE-U9fpH) and will help inform future support for road safety measures in Bhutan.
