Bangladesh Presents Efforts to Strengthen Road Crash Data at Safe Mobility 4 All & 4 Life (SM4A4L) Fellowship Programme and Graduation Event
Asia-Pacific Road Safety Observatory (APRSO) focal point for Bangladesh, Md. Makhjanul Islam Tauhid, Senior Assistant Secretary at the Road Transport and Highways Division, Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, participated in the Safe Mobility 4 All & 4 Life (SM4A4L) Fellowship Programme and Graduation Event held in Geneva, Switzerland, on 13-14 July 2026. The FIA and UNITAR-led programme brings together government authorities and FIA Member Clubs to strengthen road safety leadership and develop practical projects to address national road safety challenges.
Mr. Tauhid presented Bangladesh's efforts to improve road crash data systems, highlighting the critical role of quality data in supporting evidence-based road safety policies and interventions. He also joined government representatives from Australia, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, and Vietnam in a panel discussion on key priorities and drivers for improving road safety across the Asia-Pacific region.
